Katya is a Ukrainian performer, UNDP Ukraine Ambassador of Tolerance, as well as an accomplished ethnographer and folklorist. Dedicated to preserving and reimagining traditional Ukrainian heritage, Katya bridges the past and the present by bringing folk and ethno music into the new age, creating innovative soundscapes that connect ancient melodies with contemporary forms.
Through her music and research, she revitalizes forgotten songs, rituals, and stories, infusing them with modern rhythms and interpretations while staying true to their roots. Beyond performance, Katya actively promotes cultural diversity, understanding, and social harmony through her work as an artist and advocate, making her one of the most compelling voices in Ukraine’s cultural and social landscape.
